This works out to US$7.4 billion US dollars, or US$5.6 billion net of Sun’s cash and debt. The deal comes after Sun reportedly rejected IBM’s takeover bid.

As an aside, there is a rumour (purely rumour) that NetApp is a next takeover target. Will this turn out to be true, and by who?
